Lotus Shrine

Hello all!

Recently started on a new project to dive myself deeper into learning Zbrush and hand-painting textures. I have plans for this to be a fantasy type of scene. Intentions to take high res sculpts and baking the normal maps onto low poly models as well.

Quick concept art of the scene. Floating islands with a large focal point. Thinking some type of giant lotus with waterfall.

Zbrush sculpt turnaround of the main piece that will have the giant lotus and waterfall.
Feel like I still have many chances to add in more and more details.

Test normal map bake on a low poly mesh. 720 tris.

Sci-Fi Floor

A piece of floor to go with the sci-fi door asset I created seenĀ here. A tilling piece that I hope to use for thinner areas of flooring like walkways, hallways, etc. I plan to bake this high res onto a single plane.

Sci-Fi Door

Saw a tutorial video the other day that made me wanna try my own attempt at a door also. Never really did a lot of sci-fi stuff before, so it was pretty fun. This is the current version I have of it right now with plans to make a low res of it~

 

Ruins Revamp

Recently started to rework my ruins asset. Trying my best to redo the things that left me unhappy about it and produce an overall better product! Here is the current progress of what I currently have.

Still have the other wall to change, more detail works, and I’ll also be redoing most of the roots of the tree. Happy with the progress so far though~

Bar/Lounge Blockout

Hello! Currently working on a personal project which is an indoor bar/lounge. Started my final class before graduation today, so I’m hoping to get this done to put into my reel. Here’s the really simple blockout below.

Ruins

It’s been a long time since I last updated. For a class last month, I worked on a ruins type of environment. I wanted the focus to be the tree, but I didn’t have the chance to play with the sculpt in Zbrush. I plan to do so in the future. Along with that, there is a lot with the textures I would like to work with as well as redo.

Rendering is another thing I want to play with as well. For the render shot I had for the class, I used Maya. I’m probably going to pull it into UDK and see what results I get there.
